Editorial specifications

The text of the article cannot be previously published or considered for publication in any other journal.

Submitting the text for publication is synonymous with the declaration that the author has full copyright to the text and the agreement to publish the article in the journal "Handel Wewnętrzny" in a paper version, which is the original version, and an electronic version (as a PDF file on the webpage of the journal).

Editors reserve the right to apply necessary changes, such as abbreviations, editorial corrections and other amendments to the submitted materials, according to the journal requirements.

The editors do not return the submitted texts to the authors.

The authors of the published articles receive a copy of the journal in an electronic form (PDF file), which is sent to the email address indicated by the author. Upon specific request, the editors may send a paper copy of the journal to the correspondence address provided by the author.

A condition for the publishing of the text is a positive opinion of the reviewers or the author's inclusion of the reviewers' comments within the text.

Submission of the text:

The texts should be sent to the email address: mwiet01@poczta.onet.pl

The volume and format of the text:

  • The text should be saved as .doc or .docx file format,
  • The volume of the text is about 20,000 - 22,000 characters (half of publisher's sheet, including the abstract, keywords, footnotes and bibliography).
  • The text should be justified (aligned to the left and to the right), with the indentation of 0.63 cm.
  • 2.5 cm margins (top, bottom, left and right).
  • Times New Roman font, 12 points size, with 1.5line spacing, 14 points size for headings and subheadings.

The layout of the article (see template):

  • Name and surname of the author/authors.
  • The name of the represented institution (abbreviated affiliation of the author/authors).
  • The title of the article.
  • Abstract (max. 1000 characters), which, read in isolation from the text, should inform the reader as to the contents of the article, including:
    • the character of the article, the research method used / methodological approach, main findings / conclusions / practical and social implications,
    • keywords (min. 3, max. 5 terms),
    • JEL (Journal Economic Literature) code, e.g. O43, O47, D02,
    • article category (according to the following classification):
      • research article,
      • case study,
      • methodical article,
      • conceptual article,
      • review article.
  • The contents of the article with particular sections separated by subheadings:
    • introduction (including, among others, determining the object and purpose of the article),
    • theoretical part (containing the presentation of the current state of knowledge, literature review),
    • presentation of the research methodology,
    • analysis of findings (in the case of original research papers),
    • summary.
  • Bibliography.
  • Title in Polish.
  • Abstract in Polish.
  • Affiliation (full) containing:
    • title/scientific degree and name and surname of the author/authors,
    • name of the represented institution,
    • name of the organizational unit (department, faculty or other, according to the unit's organizational structure),
    • address of the organizational unit,
    • telephone number of the institution,
    • email address of the author/authors.

Graphic objects and patterns:

  • All graphic objects (referred to as tables, charts, diagrams and figures) should be cited in the text and placed in the text in the proximity of the citation.
  • Above each graphic object the author should provide the title, written with 10 points bolded font, in two lines: in the first line the word Table / Figure, in the second line the title aligned to the left. In order to mark the order, the author should use the uniform continuous numbering with Arabic numerals
  • Under every graphic object the author should specify its source, or include the information "own work" or "own work on the basis of...". The font size in the case of sources - 9 points; in the case of a few graphic objects with the same source the author should indicate: Source: as shown in Table 1 / as shown in Figure 1.
  • Graphic objects with titles and the cited sources should be included in the text column, i.e. the column of 13 x 19 cm (after formatting).
  • The objects should be presented against a white background. Particular elements can be made in shades of grey to ensure the readability of the text, or the objects should be filled with pattern fill.
  • If the figure shows the research findings in the form of a chart, the author should include the data values (on poles or next to them).
  • The texts in figures and in tables should be written with Times New Roman font, 9 points, with single spacing.
  • Graphic objects cannot be scanned. The figures should be prepared in editable formats, i.e. Word or Excel.
  • In the case of photo or screenshots, the author should use raster formats (psd, tif, jpg)
  • In tables, the authors should use the reference in the form of a letter. The footnotes concerning the tables should be placed directly below the table, prior to its source.
  • The tables should not contain empty boxes. The missing data should be indicated with the following notations:
    • (-), when the phenomenon does not occur,
    • (0), when a given phenomenon occurs, but the quantity is below the values which can be expressed with numerical data visible in the table, digits (e.g. if a phenomenon is expressed in tons, 0 means that its value in a given case is less than 0.5 tons),
    • (.), when there is no information or no reliable information available,
    • (x), when it is impossible or impracticable to fill in the boxes,
    • (n/a) when there is no data.
  • Texts in the main sections of the table headers and sides start with capital letters, and in subsequent headers and sides - with small letters. The authors should not put the dot in the end unless the author uses an abbreviation.
  • The author should use the formula editor to write the texts including mathematical symbols and formulas. The formulas should be numbered by placing the number on the right in parentheses. It enables the author to refer to it in the text.

Listing and enumerations:

The author should only use hyphens and Arabic numerals.

Source reference in the text:

  • In the main text, the authors should use Harvard Referencing System, placed in brackets within the text, containing the author's name, year of publication, possibly the page of the cited publication. The data citation method depends on the context of the sentence, e.g.:
    • According to Kowalski (2015), it is a positive phenomenon.
    • Other authors perceive the phenomenon as positive (Kowalski 2015, p. 222).
  • If there are two authors, then both names should be indicated, e.g.:
    • (Kowalski, Kwiatkowski 2015).
  • In the case of three authors we act in a similar way, listing all three names, e.g.:
    • (Kowalski, Kwiatkowski, Malinowski 2015).
  • In the case of a larger number of authors we indicate the first surname, and use the abbreviation „et al.", e.g.:
    • (Kowalski et al. 2015).
  • In the case of referring to a few publications, first we use the alphabetical order, and next chronological order, e.g.:
    • (Kowalski 2005; Kowalski 2012; Kwiatkowski 2012; Kowalski 2015).
  • In the case of referring to a few titles by the same author published in the same year, the author should introduce an additional letter description, e.g.:
    • (Kowalski 2012a; Kowalski 2012b).
  • In the case referring to a number of publications by two persons with the same surname, the author should add their initials, e.g.:
    • (K. Kowalski 2011; Z Kowalski, 2011).
  • The same rules apply to citations. It is necessary to add a number of the page, which we cite, e.g.:
    • (Kowalski 2002, p. 21).
  • In the case of referring to legal acts, the author should provide the beginning of their titles, e.g.:
    • (Act ... 2013).
  • In the case of referring to collective works (edited by), where there is no possibility to indicate the author of a given part of the work, the text should include the title of the publication or its abbreviated version and the year of publication, e.g.:
    • (Reklama w procesach konkurencji 2011)
  • Reference to websites containing materials with no indication of their author:
    • (https://www.radareklamy.pl/)

Bibliography:

In Harvard Reference Style it is necessary to place the bibliography at the end of each text. The bibliography contains only the list of those titles which were cited within the text. The list has to be prepared in alphabetical order, according to the names of authors and titles (if there is no author / editor / institution). The works of one author are listed in chronological order. In the case of repetition of a year of publication of one author, publications are listed in alphabetical order. If the same person is the author or co-author of a few publications (and, as a consequence, several bibliographical notes start with the same name), then we list the publications individually with a single author, and only later co-authorship. In collected works, the first element is the name of a scientific editor with the abbreviation (ed.). As a rule, the following order is used:

  1. Author's surname and initial,
  2. Year of publication (in parentheses),
  3. Title (italics),
  4. Editor,
  5. The place of publication.

  • Monograph by one author:
    Nowacki R. (2009), Reklama, Difin, Warszawa.
  • Monograph with many authors:
    Nowacki R., Strużycki M. (2009), Reklama w przedsiębiorstwie, Difin, Warszawa.
  • Edited monograph

  • The chapter of the book attributed to a specific author:
